Battleships

History

Battleships has been known as a pencil and paper game since the early 1900s. It was published by the Milton Bradley toy company in 1931 with preprinted sheets under the name Broadsides.

In 1967 Milton Bradley introduced a version using plastic boards, plastic ships, and pegs to record shots.

In 1983 Milton Bradley released an electronic version with flashing lights and sound effects.
